Biography:
Diana joined the band in October 1993 after giving them a tape of herself singing "Lather", having heard that they needed a new singer to replace the temporarily absent Darby Gould. Paul Kantner reportedly hired her the day after he first heard her tape. As time went by, she became the permenant singer, and Darby was reduced to guest appearances. Posessing a strong voice and stage presence, she was an instant hit with the audiences, and continues to be a popular band member today.

Other Work:
Diana appears on Henry Kaiser's Garcia tribute CD "Eternity Blue", where she sings "High Time" and "Brokedown Palace".

Trivia:
Her grandmother "could really sing", and her father was a jazz musician.

She was educated at Fredonia State University.

Before joining the band, Diana used to work in a cafe in New York, where she first met Jack Casady.

When not touring or recording with the band, she works in a centre for single mothers.
