Thanks for considering doing a feature on China, and for using my website to find some background info. Unfortunately there's some bad news for you if you were hoping to do an interview with her. In an e-mail she sent me just before Christmas, she told me that, following the recent Vanity Fair interview, she'd decided that it was going to be her last ever interview. Why? Because she's done so many interviews now, and they've all asked almost exactly the same questions each time, that she thinks there's nothing left to say.
As a result, I'm afraid you're going to be out of luck if you were looking to do a new interview with her.
