MTV/Stage Work. I'm hoping to add a list here of plays that China has done, as soon as I can find them out.
China started on MTV in July 1986, after being asked to audition by long-time family friend and MTV executive Les Garland. During her time with the station, she presented a series of shows, at least some of which were titled China Kantner's Guest VJ Hour, as well as some special programmes including some during the station's 1987 "Summer of love" 20th aniversary celebrations. She continued with MTV until around 1990, presenting shows during her spring, summer and winter breaks from high school.
If anyone else has some more detailed information about her MTV work, please let me know, as even China can't remember much more than just the dates she started and finished working for the station.
Radio Shows.
For a couple of years around 1990, China presented a regular radio show on KRQR-FM, San Francisco. This was a Saturday night "all-request" show, that went out between 7pm and midnight.
(Sorry I can't be more specific that that, but unfortunately even China herself can't remember anything more detailed than that!!)
Jefferson Starship. For appearances on stage with Jefferson Starship etc, see the main biography.
